It has literally been months since I’ve blogged on here. The last time I wrote an entry was in October.
In October my mom’s dad passed I always called him Granddad. I have more memories of him than I have time to tell them all to someone. I’ve been in some what of a rut since then. He and my Grandma moved to Virginia Beach in the late 1980’s to help my parents out with my little brother and sister. To say the least he helped me grow up. I’m still not completely ready to talk about him, but above all I do miss him and visit him every chance I get. His final resting place is in Virginia Beach, Va. Very close to my grand parent’s home and to our families’ church.
Shortly after my Granddad passed…my dad’s dad passed, I called him Lolo. When I was younger I would get confused between Lolo Joe (my mom’s dad) and Lolo Fidel (my dad’s dad). In less than a month’s time I lost both my grandfathers. Sometimes I still do not know how to handle it. I volunteered to be the paul bearer on both occasions.
My Lolo was a ww2 veteran and a hero. Unlike my cousins in California, I did not get a chance to have many memories with him. The memories and stories I do know about him will be told to my younger cousins when they get older. My Lolo’s final resting place is in West Covina, California.
I’ll write more about them individually at another time.

To many of us that have been to Las Vegas or any other place to gamble, seeing the number 777 lights up our faces with happiness and joy. Especially if you’re chronically addicted to slots, seeing triple sevens means all your hard work pulling on that lever or hitting same bet has finally paid off.
Today however, 777, well 777.68 to be exact has filled our economy with turmoil and questions. I am in no way an economist, but I know enough to understand that today was a bad day. Even though I’m in sunny southern California, I couldn’t help but feel a little depressed.
from msnbc.com
The Dow told the story of the market’s despair. The blue chip index, dropped by hundreds of points in a matter of moments, and by the end of the day had passed by far its previous record for a one-day drop, 684.81, set in the first trading day after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
The selling was so intense that just 162 stocks rose on the NYSE — and 3,073 dropped. FULL STORY.
At this point, I don’t care who the president is going to be unless, he donates a stockpile of money big enough to keep our economy out of the red. Unrealistic? I know it is, but wouldn’t you want that too?

If you’re in the Los Angeles area check this event out. I have yet to make it to one of these events but from what I hear, there’s usually a pretty good turn out and definitely a good time. It sounds like a nice way to end off hump day.

If you haven’t been to the Pacific Fish Grill at the Chino Hills Shoppes, then go on TUESDAYS!! They have 99¢ crispy fish tacos and other tacos for a bit more. I normally get 3 and I’m stuffed. The tacos come in warm soft tortillas. The fillings change of course depending on what type of taco you get. My fave, the crispy fish, has tomatoes, lettuce, and a spicy sauce. This place also has a special on all beers domestic and import for $2 (in case you had a long day at work of course. PLEASE Drink responsibly!)

I had the taco special for lunch and might go back for dinner! You can’t beat spending a few dollars on a good quick meal. Their dishes overall are pretty good. I haven’t had enough of the menu to give a full opinion on the place, but for Tuesdays, this place is golden!
The Pacific Fish Grill is a casual place. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Afterward they even offer to take your trash for you. Service has always been nice when I’ve been. I think this place fits well with the other spots to eat, Johnny Rockets, RA Sushi, Panera, Chipotle, and Wetzels to name a few.

The Cerritos All Stars are streamed all day long at whatever computer I’m at! I highly recommend everyone that likes hip-hop, r&b, reggae, dancehall, etc. from today to yesterday to years before that. You’re going to hear west coast, east coast, and everything in between. Every now and then they’ll even throw in a Tagalog track in the mix. They have live mix shows and you can chat with them through aol instant messenger, their sn is CASmixshow. If you have iTunes, you can listen to their shows through the radio feature under the hip-hop category. These Dj’s also have gigs up and down the west coast, so if you hear they’re going to be near you…check them out!
For you blackberry users, you can even use Moodio to stream it to your devices. As long as you have an unlimited data plan and you’re good to go.
